Finance Business Partner

CIMA qualified Accountant with significant post-qualified experience, in a number of fast paced industries. An experienced and effective business partner, working with operational, commercial, marketing and sales teams, focusing on supporting trading initiatives, margin and revenue growth and target achievement. Used to supporting senior business stakeholders up to board level, based locally, nationally and globally and has successfully managed a team through significant change. A strong user of Excel, and also has experience working with SAP, Sage, Hyperion, Cognos, Microsoft Navision

Produce P&L, reporting to Finance Director
Responsible for delivery of all month end activity
Revamp of month end performance pack to enable greater clarity of reporting against budget and delivery of insightful analysis with regard to profit improvement initiatives
Balance Sheet reconciliation with clarity around risk and opportunity
Producing and assessing Capex proposals
Finance lead in monthly leadership review
Leading financial budget process, translating growing plans and budgets into a P&L budget by area of spend and by product, to enable true financial performance for each product produced to be fully understood

Led employees through a period of significant change, within the team and the wider business
Developed and maintained key trading reporting to business, informing of weekly sales performance and periodic management accounts, informing of performance to EBITDA level
Oversaw transition of key e-commerce trading reporting dashboard in from e-commerce team to finance team
Prepare pack for weekly trading meeting
Finance lead in weekly trading meeting, explaining trading performance and variances to budget and prior year to commercial stakeholders
Led month end close process, providing full analysis of financial performance in period, and successfully transitioning from a 4 day to 3 day close
