Benjamin Edwards are currently representing a very successful immediately available Non Executive who is seeking opportunities around the East Midlands areas.
A Chartered Accountant with a Corporate Finance background and holds the ICAEW Corporate Finance Qualification. Extensive skills in Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity, IPO’s, Business Valuations, General Management at Board level of small, medium and large organisations and as a Partner of a top professional regional Corporate Finance practice. Particular sector expertise in Care Homes, Professional Partnerships, Motor Trade and Property and Construction.

From a nil base he grew the CF of a well respected Practice to achieving gross fees of £1m and a team of 4 dedicated employees. Producing a profit for the practice in that year of over £500k. Since 2016, the CF practice has continued to deliver gross fees in excess of £650k pa.
Joined a recognised dealership as a non- exec director in November 2017 when the business had one dealership in Birmingham, with a turnover of around £30m. His to work with the owner and MD to build the business in readiness for a sale and to source the funding for acquisitions. Since joining the business it has now has a further 4 dealerships. The turnover for the forthcoming year is estimated to be £90m.
Successfully managed the Audit, Advisory and Tax Southern Region for a large region (7 offices) The South Region was the largest region in in both fees and staff, with fees of around £160m and over 250 staff. During his time as regional managing partner of the region, he helped to improve the regions profits by over 30%, making it the most profitable region in the practice and introduced new regional service line structures to improve service line efficiencies and team building across locations.
He became the youngest managing partner in well-known Practice managing the Nottingham and Derby offices. The Nottingham office was one of the largest offices in the organisation and had many plc audit clients. He introduced changes into the practice that increased equity partner earnings in the office by over 200%, recruited new young partners into the practice and set up new service lines and offerings to clients, Corporate Finance being one such example. He sat on the National Partnership Review Committee, which was essentially the executive board of the National partnership and regularly presented at National Partners Conferences on strategy and people development”
