Head of Finance/Financial Controller/Finance Director

• Reporting to business owners, overseeing the Finance, HR, Payroll, Systems, and IT functions of the business, coordinating the development and implementation of new systems and processes throughout the entire business.
• Fronting all financial operations (including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting), acting as the principal point of contact for all IT providers and responsible for all IT systems within the business.
• Collaborating with other departments to drive cost reductions, revenue enhancements, and operational improvements, managing fortnightly and monthly payrolls, ensuring the company’s FCA compliance.
• Ensuring both sales stock and fleet are accurate (including movement between the two), managing stocking plans with manufacturers and finance companies, auditing and authorising all sales.
• Provisioning management accounts, KPIs and other financial information to the directors and external stakeholders, maintaining and monitoring finance stocking lines with various external providers.

Key Achievements:

• Spearheaded the refinancing of the business with the company’s bank; this involved securing both long-term loan finance, as well as day-to-day working capital facilities, providing stability and support for company operations.
• Steered the migration of the company’s IT system (Microsoft Dynamics) from on-premise to cloud-based, which involved a full review and upgrade of existing systems, resulting in improved productivity, cost savings, and enhanced data security.
• Introduced a new banking process, which streamlined financial reporting across the organisation, whilst improving overall efficiency and compliance.
