Are you recruiting for a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Manager or FP&A? Immediately available ACCA qualified finance professional due to recent redundancy. Over 30 years’ experience across FMCG, manufacturing, retail and legal services. Proven track record in commercial business partnering, commodity modelling, capital appraisal modelling, and strategic decision support. Highly experienced in building relationships and stakeholder management, working with senior leadership teams and delivering board-level analysis. Recognised for creating robust financial models, challenging the status quo in order to drive process improvements, and providing insight that directly influences commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Development and maintenance of commodity models to support inflation/deflation conversations with customers
Presenting commodity models directly to customers in conjunction with Procurement and Commercial Account Managers
Finance Business Partner to customer sales teams, supporting pricing, costings and commercial decision-making
Oversight, reconciliation and governance of customer rebates exceeding £85m yearly
Lead contact for auditors on rebate provisions and year-end balance sheet reviews
Management and development of a team of Finance Analysts

Key Achievements

Supporting successful pass through of inflation to customers
Finance lead on a strategic project to identify opportunities to expand sales beyond traditional retail opening hours; developed appraisal models in collaboration with Group Strategy and Marketing
Finance lead on a sustainability project looking at ways to accurately report on waste from production processes
Designed and implemented significant improvements to a complex, multi-site customer rebate process, resulting in enhanced transparency and successive year-end external audits with no audit points
