Finance Business Partner/Commercial Accountant

ACCA qualified Finance Business Partner who is enthusiastic, dedicated and hardworking. Has experience in busy Commercial Finance, FP&A and Financial Reporting roles demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, commercial acumen and close attention to detail.

Provide Business Parter Support for key stakeholders in commercial, distribution and
marketing teams, covering protection insurance products and investment products
Ownership of financial reporting to new business contribution, including analysis of
key KPIs and providing insight drivers of performance
Production of full year plan and regular reforecasts throughout the financial year,
including exec reviews and challenging KPIs with stakeholders
Production of regular trading performance reporting to stakeholders at multiple levels;
Managers, Senior Managers and Executive team and finance SME for monthly
trading working group
Collaborate with actuarial team to maintain key assumptions & judgements and assist
with experience analysis
Collaborate with commercial teams to develop business cases for trading initiatives
and develop financial models
Key finance contact for joint venture partners, with regular meetings to discuss
performance and assist with decision making for the partnership
Use of Anaplan, Power BI and SQL to gather and present data
Line management of an Assistant Accountant

Integral to successful acquisition of business and subsequent integration of Financial Reporting and FP&A processes
Finance SME on project to transform the business from distributor to insurer, unlocking c.£2m additional revenue per year
Streamlined month end processes early into joining the business, reducing month end turnaround from 4 workings days to 3
Developed forecasting process with introduction of bespoke planning tool, allowing us
to rapidly produce updated financial outcomes when the business made changes.
Introduced reporting processes as business grew from 5 entities to 15 and across
multiple financial systems in order to consolidate and present results in a timely
manner.
Assisted in rebuilding Hyperion Enterprise database to streamline reporting.
