CFO/Finance Director

Immediately available ACA qualified Finance Director with a wealth of experience in the house building, property development and construction sectors. Skills include company accounting and reporting, operational and commercial finance, development funding and financial structuring, main Board reporting and corporate transaction work. Recently delivered a sale to Private Equity and transition post sale, including a large refinancing.

Recruited to prepare and manage the sale of the business to PE. In the first 90 days, introduced new financial and commercial reporting processes and disciplines.
Worked with the MD to establish a 5-year strategic plan and financial model for the work out of these sites. On larger sites this included the introduction of industry partners such as Legal and General and multiple exit strategies, including land swaps and partnership housing.
Managed sell side on the sale of the business. Responsibilities included preparation of the Information Memorandum and Financial Model, presentation at Investor meetings, management of the data room and Sale and Purchase documentation and a Group reorganisation ahead of the sale.
Post sale, delivered a significant refinance of the business – preparation of financial model and Lender presentation pack and led meetings with prospective Lenders. Resulted in the introduction of one new Lender into the Group facility.
Delivered 80% growth in the business in 2 years and a 250% increase in EBITDA from £2m to £7m for the same period.
Led management response to Covid19, driving the strategy to take company into and out of lockdown; furlough and reintegration into the business of c75% of staff; and secured a a large CLBILs loan.
