Finance Director

· Steered the company through never-before seen supplier increases, Brexit and Covid, including securing one of the first Covid Loans from Bank, then a factory fire, negotiating the business interruption claim from £119k to £231k, throughout forecasting, monitoring and reporting all cash flows weekly

· Part of the strategic team that took the company from £14.9m to a record £23.5m turnover over four years, personally addressing pricing strategy on way to record turnover and profit year to March 2023

· Taken the company from £0.6m borrowings in 2019 to over £5.1m reserves in December 2023 and with all other improvements have dramatically improved the company’s credit rating

· Fixed energy under 20p per kWH prior to energy crisis until 31st December 2025 saving company over £1.5m, along with other savings and initiated delivery/price checking on all supplier invoicing

· Reduced debtor days during Covid so dramatically that the bank commended me, have maintained this level ever since, developing and overseeing a new robust credit control process

· Introduced a new accounting process, initially highlighting where profit had previously seemed to have disappeared, creating full P&L visibility by product groups, plus over the last four to five years creating efficiencies in all accounting processes by remodelling them all including creating a cost model by factory, using Sage systems expertise to clean up all the coding structure
