Management Accountant/Finance Manager

A proactive and results orientated ACCA qualified finance professional, with experience of operating at senior management level. Dedicated and committed, with a strong enthusiasm for ensuring effective business controls are in place. A financial business partner who works across operations, commercial and logistics within a busy manufacturing environment.

Weekly management accounts, including P&L reports and analysis to drive actionable insights and continuous improvement across departments
Monthly commercial and production performance reviews via Power BI dashboards
Weekly P&L meetings with cross-functional teams, identifying cost drivers and areas for efficiency
Daily review of Manufacturing Order variances, enabling data-driven operational improvements
Leading the customer credit and claim process, driving improvements across departments to reduce claim volumes and processing time
Managing the Fixed Asset Register and Capex processes, ensuring strong financial control across the business functions
Key role in month-end closing
Management of the weekly cash flow forecast to support business planning and funds availability
Liaising with external auditors for the interim and year-end statutory accounts
Played a key role in supporting the financial and operational aspects of the business closure, including final cash flow forecasting, supplier communications, fixed asset reconciliations, and audit preparation
Assisted senior leadership in ensuring a structured and compliant wind-down process, while maintaining integrity of reporting and financial controls throughout

Financial Controls Management: Ensures appropriate financial controls are in place and are embedded in day-to- day operations to mitigate business risk. Develops quality standards whilst installing best practice solutions.
Relationship Building: Builds firm relationships with all stakeholders through empathy, negotiation and building trust via the demonstration of values, integrity and ethics
Workload Planning and Prioritisation: Ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining quality and accuracy within a time pressured environment
Challenging Assumptions: Confident in constructively questioning business assumptions to mitigate financial risk
