Head of Finance/Head of Commercial Finance/Finance Director

Immediately available due to redundancy. A CIMA qualified senior finance leader with extensive experience establishing and leading commercially focussed finance teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability and gravitas to partner directors and senior leaders across functions. Very commercially minded, with strong analytical ability. An experienced leader with strong coaching and mentoring abilities to develop skills across wider teams.

Provided strategic and commercial finance guidance and partnership to the CEO and board of the UK business
Established cross functional leadership teams to lead the 3 UK businesses, set up performance reporting for those teams, and embedded financial performance and commercial thinking in the daily running of those businesses. Provide financial leadership and decision making across all aspects of running those businesses
Redesign of UK wide performance reporting to ensure focus on the financial performance of the UK and the commercial impact of decisions
Establish process of both sales and profit forecasting, with business engagement and ownership, improving the quality and accuracy of forecasts as well as driving value adding decision making
Provide financial leadership to the individual UK businesses, including communicating performance and provide leadership at a UK level

Full P&L responsibility as Head of Finance for an international £30m division, ensuring EBITDA delivery whilst partnering with Directors to drive value and decision making
Co-Led a covid project to stabilise sales and ensure company viability for a UK £100m division
Led commercial finance teams as “Head of” for a number of businesses across sectors such as Retail, Energy, Financial Services, and brewing, focussed on delivering profitability, improving reporting and decision making, and improving forecasting and planning
