Financial Controller/Finance Director/Head of Finance

An ACCA/AAT qualified Financial Controller/Finance Director/Head of Finance seeking a new opportunity. Has 30 years of industry (Operational & Financial) experience. An assertive person who can take a system/process and very quickly simplify and improve it to make it serve a positive purpose. An excellent people manager and motivated by profitable outcomes and challenging assignments. Proven track record of improving underperforming business and taking a business through a growth phase as well as sustaining a high performing business.

Support the directors with the strategic management of the business
Full management of the preparation of monthly finance reporting
Variance analysis and providing commentary on profit and loss
Oversee all financial functions including ledger reconciliations, costing and system controls
BOM setup, review and control
Authorisation of payment runs and foreign currency transactions
System review, update, and implementation
Payroll processing
HR Liaison, on-boarding, investigation and disciplinary support
Capex control and approvals
Complete P&L control as well as budget authorisation and forecasting
Budget modelling to review cost and selling price scenarios
Gross margin reconciliation and variance reporting
Monthly board reporting, review of accounting policies and procedures
Overview of operational functions

Raising finance
Stock control system management
Oversee all financial functions including ledger, reconciliations, payroll, costing and system controls. Full negotiation and approval of company operational suppliers.
Management of staff, appraisals, training, disciplinary and recruitment
Full negotiation and approval of company operational suppliers
Strategic development of the business modelling platform to allow flexible scenario case studies
Monthly board reporting, review of accounting policies and procedures
Overview of operational functionals
