Financial Controller

An ACCA Qualified finance professional with extensive experience in management accounts, budgeting & forecasting, commercial costings, business reporting, business partnering, system implementation and audit. Experience gained from a variety of roles and business sectors. Worked as a successful head of department managing end to end finance for an SME, a resilient, conscientious and process driven accountant able to work at all levels whether strategic or hands on and in the detail.

  • Full end to end management and experience of AP and AR ledgers, full ownership of P&L, balance sheet (including reconciliations) and cashflow reporting, to include regular forecasting and annual budget process.
  • Experience of consolidations and intercompany transactions together with multi-currency transactions.
  • Process and control implementation, development, and improvement.
  • Management of internal key stakeholders and external relationships with; the bank, auditors, finance providers, HMRC and key suppliers.
  • Management of year end audit process.
  • Capex business cases, review, sign off and monitoring.
  • Advisor on financial impacts of key business decision points
  • Payroll processing to include PAYE, pensions, P11Ds, health benefits and Death in Service
  • System implementation and upgrades (ERP systems x 2 and payroll)
  • Staff recruitment, retention, and performance management
  • Active member of various Senior Management Teams
