Finance Director / Financial Controller / Finance Manager

An immediately available fully qualified FCCA accountant with over 25 years experience. A highly competent professional Finance Director with experience of successfully supporting significant growth and strategic company business plans. A results driven, commercially aware individual that thrives on working in collaboration with the business to achieve its goals. A proven ability to constantly challenge and improve existing processes and systems. Experience in a wide range of industries including Horticulture, Retail, Manufacturing and Insurance/Financial Services. Looking for fractional FD/FC part time interim roles in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire

Preparation and accuracy of monthly management accounts for a group of companies.
Preparation of annual budgets and rolling monthly forecasts.
Preparing the financial statements with supporting audit files on an annual basis.
Liaising with external bodies including banks, solicitors and auditors.
Responsible for a finance department that covers all financial, supply chain, ICT and payroll matters.
Ensuring that all products within the company’s costing database is kept up to date in terms of labour rates, material prices and yield.
Preparation and accuracy of sales and gross profit reports by customer and products.
Capital appraisal analysis which includes payback calculation and benefits tracking.
Overall responsibility of the company’s insurance policies
Liaising and negotiating contracts with key suppliers.
Responsible for the financial and tax affairs of the company’s property portfolio
Long term financial planning and strategy.
Leading various wide business projects that have included obtaining external funding, purchasing production sites and installing computer systems.
Supporting the owners with future business planning and driving strategy.
Overall responsibility of the company’s energy contracts that include gas, electricity, water and oil

Ensuring cost prices for all stock lines are up to date.
Producing and analysing the material throughput, operating variance, invoice price variance and closing stock on a monthly basis.
Part of a project team to establish a standard cost per product and a recovery rate report by site.
Ad hoc duties which include make v buy analysis, gross margin reports, etc.
Preparation and accuracy of monthly management accounts.
Ensuring that all balance sheet reconciliations were complete and up to date.
Preparing the financial statements with supporting audit files on an annual basis.
Liaising with external and internal auditors.
Preparation of annual budgets and rolling monthly forecasts.
