Finance Director/Group Financial Controller

ACCA qualified finance executive with significant experience and achievement in driving profitable growth and cash flow, through process excellence and sustainable performance improvements. Experience in strategic planning, European controls and compliance, continuous improvement, and managing large multi-national teams. Hands on, senior business executive with a strong understanding of sales, operations, and supply chain. Supported by a strong academic profile, MSc in Accounting and Finance, and FCCA. Experience in Commerce, Food Manufacturing (FMCG), Engineering, Lean Six Sigma, and change management.

Responsible for leading European strategic projects and alignment to global strategy
Ensuring all regulatory and statutory requirements are met
Maintaining effective Financial Controls environment, compliance with SOX, and financial processes across the European Region
European strategic project/capital investment control – Strategic project management, and project performance reviews
Define and lead finance process improvements to optimise system capability
Direct the month end close process for Europe
Work with the FP&R, consolidation, and reporting team to make sure all targets and deadlines are met
Co-ordinate the development and revision of accounting policies and procedures

Responsible for leading the UK manufacturing and supply chain finance teams
Business case modelling for sales, operation, purchasing and logistics
Strategy development and execution in line with World Class Efficiency targets
Business partnering with the commercial team on new tenders, product development and business case analysis
Project identification, management, and review to align actuals to group and budget performance metrics
