Financial/Company Accountant

Are you recruiting for a Financial/Company Accountant? An ACA qualified Group Financial Reporting Accountant experienced in both industry and practice.

  • Liaising with auditors regarding workings for acquisitions in the year and providing supporting schedules such as net asset reconciliations, bank reconciliations and breakdowns of receivables/payables at acquisition
  • Supporting international teams with month end uploads of figures to consolidation tool
  • Completing journals and adjustments to incorporate European subsidiaries results, to reflect appropriate accounting treatments under IFRS
  • Reporting and analysing exceptional items and balance sheet figures to the CFO for the Group at each month end
  • Organising and leading month end meetings with overseas divisions to discuss improvements to month end processes and identifying issues, to enhance efficiencies going forward
  • Uploading acquisition data to the consolidation tool and mapping of subsidiary accounts to ensure consistency across the Group and strong data quality
  • Visiting European divisions to train them on how to use systems and assist in fixing technical issues identified within their month end reporting
  • Maintaining schedules for the European entities’ investments and for their provisions for contingent and deferred consideration

  • High level of attention to detail
  • Quick learner and adaptable
  • Strong IT skills; Microsoft 365 and various accounting software including SPSS, IRIS, Sage, Inflo, Netsuite, OneStream and XERO
  • Able to adapt to new scenarios and people quickly
