Tax Projects Director – Lincolnshire – Competitive Salary + enhanced benefits + remote working option  An exciting opportunity has become available for a Tax Projects Director to join an expanding, specialist team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of specialist tax projects for clients across the practice. You will also ensure that all team members under their supervision receive the necessary on the job training and support to meet business and personal goals. There would be the opportunity for remote working if required.

The Role: –

 

Key responsibilities The key responsibilities of this role are to:

  • lead tax projects and advisory work within the tax projects team in relation to;

o capital gains advice

o Inheritance Tax advice

o Stamp tax advice

o R&D, Capital Allowances and other business specific reliefs

o share schemes

o business acquisitions and disposals

o due diligence o restructuring

o MBO / MBI planning o International planning

  • achieve targeted team utilisation and billing, ensuring budgets are met.
  • scope projects and agree terms with relationship directors and clients
  • work with and answer queries from colleagues and clients in a timely and accurate manner,
  • keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and the application of this knowledge to clients’ affairs.
  • identify opportunities when reviewing client affairs and action these as appropriate.
  • develop others within the tax projects team with technical knowledge as well as their general development.
  • Work with clients, targets and relationship directors to develop additional project opportunities.

The ideal Candidate

  • you will be CTA and/or CCAB qualified
  • have a proven track record in delivering tax advisory projects for clients
  • be experienced in UK and international tax and be able to deliver advice on direct taxes with a specialism in corporate and / or private client work
  • be able to actively manage their own workload and that of their team
  • take responsibility for their own and their teams’ development.
  • be capable of demonstrating effective time management, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and outstanding attention to detail.
  • be able to demonstrate effective client inter-personal skills
  • be proactive in ensuring that team members under their supervision are supported to achieve agreed targets in their performance and development.
  • be comfortable providing effective on the job training and experience for team members to complement their studies, whilst meeting work priorities.
  • be a team player and have a friendly, positive approach with a can-do attitude.
