This role offers the opportunity for someone with significant finance experience eager to innovate systems and deliver efficiencies. As part of the leadership team, you will play an integral part of the Charity’s decision making processes, managing a small team of 3 part time staff, reporting straight to the Chief Executive and delivering detailed financial analysis.
The Head of Finance will be responsible for all financial matters, including budget development, planning & reporting; managing the accounting function; supporting the Directors and Leadership team with accurate, regular management information; production of annual accounts and liaison with the external examiners; oversee the payroll function; and financial reporting of project funded activities and grant giving programs
All operational matters, including and overseeing activities to ensure safe and cost-effective management; management and negotiation of supply contracts for services; management of the facilities and IT;
To work as part of the Leadership Team to contribute financial and operational expertise in the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies, practices, funding proposals and applications
Thle Ideal candidate
Will be an experienced Accountant preferably qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/AAT
A strong background of work in Finance and ideally have experience of charity accounting and annual reporting using SORP
The ideal applicant will be able to deliver to tight deadlines, possess exceptional analytical skills and provide strong leadership with the ability to challenge and influence.
