Financial Controller – Skegness – £45-55k  + car allowance + benefits Benjamin Edwards are currently recruiting a Financial Controller for a dynamic and entrepreneurial fast paced business on the East Coast.  Managing a small team and reporting directly into the owners you will help shape and support the Finances of the business and be part of an award winning team! THE ROLE

  • Manage and develop the Finance Team;
  • Management of daily financial operations;
  • Development and management of month-end process including:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for several entities;
  • Preparation of reporting pack for the Board of Directors;
  • Reviewing internal controls within the business and implementing change where necessary;
  • Overseeing monthly cash flow forecasting;
  • Adhoc analysis for Senior Management;
  • Managing and taking responsibility for the accounting systems;
  • Management of all external reporting including preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with the Auditors
  • Management and overall responsibility for regulatory returns such as VAT and Payroll returns;
  • Supporting the Finance Team in ad hoc tasks/projects.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The candidate would be a qualified (ideally ACA, ACCA or CIMA) individual with at least 5 years post qualification experience in an accounting function management position who would be able to quickly take on the day to day running of the Finance operation.

The ideal candidate would have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages and in particular strong Excel skills.

This is very much a role for a pro-active individual who is adaptable to change, with excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and a proven track record in their current position.

The candidate would have an enthusiastic and proactive approach demonstrating a ‘can-do’ attitude and an effective and confident communicator across all levels of the organisation.

  • Financial management skills;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • PC proficient, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent Excel skills;
  • Self-motivated, driven and results oriented;
