Financial Controller – Brigg – £55- £60k + benefits  The Background The Financial Controller will support the Finance Director and finance team to develop and grow this award winning SME. Main Responsibilities of the Financial Controller

  • Working closely with the Managment Accountant, oversee accurate and timely completion of monthly Management Accounts.
  • Responsible for managing the balance sheet, carrying out regular reviews, and ensuring appropriate controls.
  • Oversee all Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger activities, managing and developing 1 member of staff, and deliver transactional KPI’s.
  • Manage credit limits, overdue debts and exposure risks, escalating issues for action appropriately.
  • Deliver high quality management information to inform and support management decision making. Assess relevant information sources to provide risk & opportunity insights and early warning support to manage issues.
  • Provide support to the Finance Director in all duties to ensure the company maintains financial records in a correct manner, and report useful information to support decision making. Deputise For Finance Dirctor as required.
  • Ensure all bank accounts are maintained effectively and within plans. As the main Banking and Financial contact for day to day activities, ensure necessary currency and other transactions are accurately approved and processed.
  • Key contact for external authorities such as HMRC, responsible for ensuring the company meets it obligations.
  • First contact for other operational relationships and contracts such as Insurances & energy.
  • Support the Finance Director in delivering Finance led activities such as Budgets and business performance updates.
  • Oversee and support payroll and related obligations.
  • Lead and support compliance, process & efficiency improvement projects.
  • Great opportunity to develop and be involved in a range of functional activities, including IT and ERP implementation.
