Finance Manager

  • Production of monthly management accounts and supporting management information in agreed timeframes. Assist Financial Controller with Balance Sheet management and support overall controls and governance requirements.
  • Own the monthly financial forecast, taking the lead in process improvements and working with management to drive meaningful insights and control, to support and influence business performance.
  • Produce key reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including insightful commentary as appropriate, in a timely and accurate manner to support business operations and performance management.
  • As Business Partner to the Sales and Operations teams, take a hands-on approach to assist and guide activities ranging from new business development, though Commercial pricing, to Factory performance measurement and improvement.
  • Analyse Financial and Business data to assess and challenge performance, and to assist management decision making.
  • Work with the wider Finance team to develop improved, insightful information to support the business goals
  • Assist the Finance team activities in peak periods as required (from Ledger processing through to deputising for FC)
  • As a key role in supporting the businesses improvement goals this is a great opportunity to be involved in a range of development projects:
  • Lead, drive, and support projects as required to deliver business improvement including Finance led initiatives through to providing finance support to operational or customer facing projects.
  • Support implementation of new ERP, ideally taking an active and leading role in change management and the project delivery.

  • Of Graduate calibre (not necessarily a Graduate). Experience of working alongside management in a manufacturing / FMCG environment preferred, as is practical knowledge of standard costing.
  • Process and systems orientated, with ERP or other systems experience highly desirable.
  • Excellent Excel capabilities are essential. Other MS capabilities advantageous.
  • The role will ideally suit a nearly qualified, qualified or finalist CIMA / ACCA professional with ambition and desire to succeed
