Finance Director

Finance Director – £competitive salary & benefits – North East Lincolnshire. Commutable from Grimsby, Lincoln, Market Rasen, Louth, Horncastle. The Finance Director will be responsible for the effective operation of all aspects of the finance function, ensuring absolute integrity of financial records, robust risk management and controls, management of all aspects of the department, and effective contribution towards strategic decision making and associated changes.  The Finance Director will engage with all other aspects of the business to improve performance and improve understanding of the finance within each area of operation.   The Finance Directors role will offer: Stable workforce and business; Growth opportunity; Potential for equity share in future; Auto Enrolment Pension Provision; Additional Holiday Allowance after qualifying period; Life Assurance Provision after a qualifying period; Special Birthday Recognition; On-site parking; Private Healthcare after qualifying period.

Role of Finance Director

  • Develop strong working relationships across the wider organisation and become recognised as an instrumental senior leader/decision-maker
  • To take responsibility for the overall management and general administration of the Finance Department and staff
  • To recruit, train and develop suitable staff members into the Team and coach, develop and mentor individuals
  • Oversee the finances of subsidiary companies as required
  • Deliver monthly management accounts, metrics, ratios, and reporting including detailed analysis and comment in line with the agreed timetables
  • Effectively contribute to the Group Board including both historic actuals, forward forecasts, and the presentation of proactive proposals to drive positive change and improvement across the business
  • Production of individual and consolidated statutory accounts for all Group Companies
  • Support audits as required for statutory, bank, projects, etc
  • The Finance Director will effectively lead and manage both the department and teams/individuals within the wider organisation as required.
  • To take responsibility for the overall management and general administration of the Finance Department and staff

  • Analyse company borrowing and debt structure, identifying and leading associated improvements and cost reduction
  • Ensure robust control is embedded in all processes and activities to always minimize risk
  • Undertake any project work as required by the Managing Director

Ideal Candidate for the role of Finance Director

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified ACCA/CIMA or ACA Accountant with previous Finance Director experience, preferably in an SME environment.
