Accounts Assistant

This is a great opportunity for an AAT qualified Accounts Assistant with stock management experience to work for a growing business on a 12 month FTC. Main duties & responsibilities Purchase Ledger – checking, coding & processing supplier invoices Completing supplier reconciliations Preparing supplier payment runs Sales ledger – checking & posting customer invoices & receipts Assist with daily cash book update and bank reconciliations Credit control Daily update and reconciliation Assist with the update, reconciliation & monitoring of Stock Management Systems Completion of monthly Intrastat return Assist & support the Finance & Supply Chain Manager with other ad hoc tasks as and when required

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified AAT
  • Experience of using and ERP system
  • Good understanding of stock
  • Prior experience of a similar role
  • A confident verbal & written communicator
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a methodical organised manner & able to prioritise workloads
  • A team player with a can-do attitude and the ability to use their own initiative
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office (Excel and/or Access)
  • Confident, professional and highly motivated
