THE OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Qualified Financial Controller to join a fast-paced and dynamic organisation in the Lincoln area. The successful candidate will have strong commercial acumen; they will be instrumental in the development, planning and implementation of accounting controls and processes as well as developing and delivering relevant management information. They will lead a large Finance Team. The business is now actively recruiting for this position and initial interview will be via video link.

THE ROLE

  • Manage the day to day running a large Finance Department

  • Support Senior Management team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis on projects

  • Compile analytical models and reports which are forward-thinking forecasts that enable other employees in the company to make sound decisions

  • Lead the annual budget preparation and analysis and quarterly re-forecast process ensuring the final plan fits with corporate objectives

  • Produce and track KPI’s

  • Analyse complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes

  • Full variance analysis and explanation with real time information; completing cost centre reviews with stakeholders to ensure understanding and accountability for the results

  • Responsible for reviewing and submitting the Monthly Management Pack and related financial schedules accurately and on time Drive efficiencies and understand ROI in capital projects.

  • Assistant in preparation of presentations to Board of directors and senior Management team using BI tools.

  • Lead analysis on current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, capital expenditure highlighting unexpected variances Provide sector and competitor bench marking

  • A visible advocate of the global core process development ensuring that common Group Finance processes are deployed and adhered to

  • Assist in the production of Statutory accounts and tax computations.

  • Assist in the month end reporting process

  • Support Ad-hoc projects.

  • Deputise for the Finance Director as and when needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA

  • Degree in Accounting and Finance, Mathematics, Economics, IT or related field

  • Excellent knowledge and hands on experience of financial practices, IFRS, taxation, cost management, supply chain and manufacturing / operations is essential

  • Previous experience in Business Partnering five years or more.

  • Professionalism and integrity with impact and presence and flexible approach to work

  • Highly skilled in the use of MS Excel

  • Willing to take responsibility and ownership for tasks

  • Ability to work under own initiative but also as part of a multifunctional team

  • Critical thinking, inquisitive and prepared to challenge the norm.
