Immediately available Accountant/Shared Service Manager/Project Accountant seeking a new interim opportunity Nationwide. A finance professional with a proven track record across a range of organisations, with extensive knowledge and hands on experience of all transactional areas of finance including Procurement, AP, AR and Treasury. Experienced in managing Sizeable teams and working with key stakeholders. Has led many through transition programmes to deliver improved efficiencies and cost savings.  Has also re-engineered financial processes and procedures, producing process flows including updated corporate governance, Finance Instruction Manuals (FIM), Standard Operating Manuals (SOP), and other policy documents to reflect new ways of working.

Banking: SME & Project Lead for Global AP

  • Offshore all transactional activity to India.  Engaging with offshore teams to provide training and testing of new ERP system.
  • In line with the above I rewrote all procedures, processes and training manuals to assist the implementation of Oracle Fusion.
  • Rewrote expenses policy in line with functionality and enhancements of new Oracle system.

Leisure: SME & Project Lead for Transactional Processing

  • ERP upgrade of Microsoft Dynamics Navision upgrade to Microsoft 365 Business Central.
  • Assist in the set-up of a new PE backed company to manage 330  outlets including the design & build of ERP & associated systems. Including set up of a reactive and planned maintenance system.
  • Obtained lines of credit from major suppliers in challenging circumstances (No trading history, business registered offshore).
  • Finished Project ahead of time and under budget.

Public Sector:  (Local Government) Head of Finance Operations

  • Stabilised transactional processing, reducing backlog along with implementing new processes and procedures.
  • Improved payment performance to both suppliers and care providers following poorly implemented ERP upgrade.
  • Development and implementation of a robust performance improvement programme to deliver improved and continued efficiencies and customer outcomes.

Public Sector (NHS): Interim  AP Consultant

  • Removed transactional processing from Shared Services organisation back in house.
  • Reviewed, advised and implemented new organisational structure to accommodate workload writing a suite of processes and procedures in line with new structure and methods of working.
  • Improved payment performance of purchase invoices by improving query management and inputting efficiencies.

Business intelligence:  System Implementation Manager

  • Reviewed transactional department and implemented  ‘best in class’ processes.
  • Cleared backlog of outstanding aged queries to achieve 100% of all queries being answered within 48hrs.
  • Developed a dashboard to serve as an early warning system to direct resource appropriately to avoid bottlenecks.
