HR Officer

A versatile and solution-focused Senior HR Officer with in-depth, diverse experience and an adept facility for heading operations leading and developing teams, maximising workflow, organising and controlling work/events and achieving sustained success. A highly effective professional, specialising in talent and resource planning, processes and system improvement, recruitment, supplier management and extensive knowledge of applicant tracking systems. Working towards being CIPD Level 5 qualified.
  • Advise and assist with identification and implementation of an HR System.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • Provide counselling on policies and procedures.
  • Actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads, managing the hiring process.
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans.
  • Develop training and development programs.
  • Assist in performance management processes.
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, absence, payroll data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
  • Held full responsibility for Human resources, Health and Safety and Facilities Management whilst being an active member of the Management Committee engaging in multiple projects and strategies across all Departments.
  • Established an academy of excellence for seasonal staff, creating a programme that allows the Manager to show a pathway to develop and perform to expectations and aspirations of the organisation.
  • Implemented innovative programmes to increase employee loyalty and reduce turnover whilst developing and rolling out new policies.
  • Oversaw the hiring of many staff alongside the training, coaching and mentoring staff to ensure smooth adoption of new working procedures.
  • Played a key role as the First Responder for all facility and equipment issues, overseeing management issues and concerns across multiple sites.
  • Created and managed the Emergency response plan for the organisation along with delivering the training to relevant staff and departments.
  • Handled all customer relations issues in a gracious manner and in accordance with company policies.
  • Served as corporate liaison between the Finance, IT and Administration departments with additional responsibility for managing vendors, organisation, and upkeep.
  • Completed 1:1 training and development for Members of the Marketing teams.
  • Tasked with successfully managing a team of up to 35+ staff.
