Finance Business Partner

A ACMA qualified Senior Finance Business Partner currently working as finance lead in a food  manufacturing company.  The key requirement of their role is to provide financial leadership and advice to their operation managers and Head of Finance. They use a variety of communication techniques to get messages across clearly in a way others can understand and by having attention to detail, understanding the analysis and being able to present and engage others at all levels. Having developed an extensive understanding of the principles of budgeting, cost allocation, planning and forecasting this enables them to provide quality analysis which is used across the organisation when making strategic decisions.  
  • Strategically focused as part of the operational management team
  • Driving continuous improvement to operations through effective business partnering. Challenging the status quo and driving down site cost base
    • Stopping all overtime to avoid cross contamination of shifts with CV19
    • Decisions around making operations leaner
    • Managing the strategic initiatives with the plant managers. Identification and tracking
  • Consolidation and review of site results and challenging material variances to budget and monthly forecasting
  • Annual budgeting and monthly reforecasting
  • Managing a team of management accountants’. Setting out clear objectives and PDP’s for each
  • Overall responsibility for the company capex and cash flow forecasting
  • Management and control of regional cash flow
  • Consolidation and review of regional results including understanding variance
  • Head up contract savings programs to improve margins
  • Improvement in the coding system on Oracle by setting this up and effectively communicating it across the VM business.
  • Coordinating asset audits for the contract ensuring an accurate register is maintained and recovery of historic costs.
  • Created a budget vs actual model allowing managers to compare building costs on a monthly and YTD basis. This has not been achieved on the contract before.
  • Created a run rate model to present to the client allowing them to analyse costs to building level.
  • Continued ability to collect cash ahead of forecast
